The Studio
Quietly building Colorado's most considered homes since 1991.
Masterbilt is a veteran-owned, family-run practice. We accept a limited number of new commissions each year so that every project receives the attention it deserves.

Our Story
A small studio with a long memory.
Founded by a Navy veteran in 1991, Masterbilt has spent more than three decades quietly shaping the way Coloradans live. We were never the largest builder in the Front Range — and we never wanted to be.
What we offer instead is continuity: the same superintendent walking your site every morning, the same carpenters trimming out your kitchen, the same family taking the final phone call ten years from now when you want to talk about a renovation.
The second generation now runs the studio. The first still drops by the jobsite most weeks.
What We Believe
Four values, carried through every project.
01
Restraint
We resist the unnecessary. A home should feel quieter the longer you live in it.
02
Craft
The same hands carry a project from foundation to final finish. No subcontracted assembly lines.
03
Honesty
Real materials, real schedules, real numbers. Surprises belong in the architecture, not the invoice.
04
Stewardship
Built to last generations and to sit gracefully in the Colorado landscape.
The Owners
Two partners. One phone number that always gets answered.
Masterbilt is owned and run day-to-day by Jim Stiltner and Clark Sundahl. Between them they bring more than six decades in the Colorado building industry — and they are the names on every contract, every site visit, and every warranty call.

How We Build
Five chapters. The same five chapters, every time.
Discovery
We walk the land, listen to how you live, and sketch the first ideas together.
Design
Architect, interior designer, and builder collaborate in the same room — never in silos.
Pre-construction
Every line item is priced, every selection sourced, every schedule agreed before a shovel turns.
Build
One superintendent, one crew, weekly walk-throughs, no surprises.
Steward
Eleven-month warranty walk, lifetime relationship — call us in twenty years, we'll still pick up.
Recognition
Earned the old-fashioned way.
We don't chase awards. But careful work, kept promises, and happy clients have a way of being noticed.
